No reira tena koutou me mihi nui kia koutou.

I have had the privilege of being the Principal of Kaikohe Intermediate for the last five years and prior to that the teaching Principal Of Te Kura O Horeke.

My whanau and I have been living in Te Taitokerau for the last 10 years, our own children attend local kura and enjoy the opportunities provided for them.

I am an active member of our Akatokerau whanau and am absolutely committed to the provision of the highest educational opportunities possible for all Maori students. I believe that empowerment of others and collective responsibility for success for our tamariki and rangatahi provides opportunities for leadership at all levels.

I grew up in Mangere in beautiful South Auckland and began my teaching Career in 1991 at the tender age of 21. During my time teaching in Auckland I spent two years at Weymouth Intermediate and six Years at Clover Park Middle school.

I enjoy utilising the natural resources of the Far-North and dive and fish as often as I can, I am proud to be a member of the Te akatea Executive and look forward to the challenges that will be faced over the next two years.

Kia ora Koutou
